Future: Adoption
History: Her mother is sick with HIV and cannot care for her. Maria is HIV free and is a healthy little girl.
January 2008: Not quite walking, but a happy little “bug”. She had the worst case of chicken pox–in her mouth and on her tongue! But she has fully recovered.
May 2009: We have a lady who wants to adopt Maria, so hopefully she will be in her forever home soon.
November 2009: Several families have been interested in adopting Maria, but they have not worked out. So this month Davona and Max Church brought Maria home and are working towards adopting her. She is 3 years 3 months old.
