Update from Davona

Here it is the middle of July already. My family and I have been in the States for five weeks and Max leaves tomorrow for Tanzania. The girls and I stay for another month.
Candace McBride, one of our volunteers said that she took some toddlers to the game sanctuary that is five minutes from our house. She even let them taste some Fanta orange soda! She also spent some hours playing with Carolina and said she is the happy, smiling baby, as always. That was good news for me.

Jessica Neff is enjoying CoL and my son said she just fits right in. Sorry, ladies, that I have missed getting to know you!

Our puppies are growing quickly and my son and Marsha are taking good care of them. Thanks guys! I know they are messy, but at least they are cute and fun.

I don't get much information about what is happening at the Home, but at least it gives me a chance to really relax here for my time, and then I will truely be ready to "hit the ground running" and take over the helm once again. I DO get letters from people who are wanting to volunteer, but right now we are booked until May 2010.

Also have been in contact with a young man who is excited about helping CoL financially and has already sent a substantial donation. Thanks, Danny!

Blessings to all of you who keep up with this blog. I appreciate your interest, prayers and sharing with others about what we do. God continues to be faithful to this ministry!

    Hello Davona!

Just a quick note to say hello, and I always enjoy reading your blogs….The kids are doing wonderful here. We took Martin, Rachael, and Maria to the lodge to go swimming. All of them were more than excited at the sight of the pool. Then we treated them to a wonderful lunch of spaghetti. YUMMY….We also spoiled the same group plus prince to Usa Plaza cookies. FUN….The rest of the babies are wonderful. We brought Amina, Carolina, and Nina upstairs while we had lunch and they were thrilled. Carolina was ooing and awing and sticking her little tongue out. haha what a beautiful little girl!…well I hope your time in the states is blessed with fun times and lots of joy! Talk again soon….
