One of our volunteers, Sarah Dent had a fundraising dinner for the Home last weekend. She had a great turnout and raised over 1,500 dollars for the babies!  She included the following information for anyone else who would like to do fundraisers and have a Kohl's Store in their area.

Incubators

Ross and Marsha (and I am sure that Ramona helped too–put together three incubators and one bilibrubin light unit. 

It will be exciting to have our first premature babies in them.

Visitors from KCB

On Sunday morning we had a group of about 14 people come from the Kenya Commercial Bank in Arusha. They brought 8 trees to plant as well as LOTS of fresh fruits and vegetables, dry food goods and soaps for the Home. Thank you to all who participated in this wonderful outreach to our babies!

Expect the Unexpected

 

 Yesterday we thought we were getting a 3 month old, but when Esther from Imara Ministries arrived, she told me that the baby hadn't come yet. Instead she brought us an orphaned 18 month old girl. Dorcas has adjusted amazingly well, and we will get the baby next week.
