Sunny Sabbath

Every Sabbath for the past month has been sunny! But in between, it has been grey. Must be the smile of God on His special day!

Maureen, one of our recent volunteers sent me these two photos of Lawrence for the two of you who wanted to see updated ones of him. Thanks Maureen!

 

We actually had sunshine yesterday! Wonderful to see the clothes and nappies getting dry, and the children getting to take a walk to Danish to play.

I was expecting the couple who are adopting Tumaini (AKA Calvin) to arrive at 11 am as they said they would. They never showed up and never called. Very strange.

All the plates lined up at lunchtime. The babies are amazingly patient as they wait their turn to be fed. There are a few however, who howl until their tummies are full.

Sunless Sunday

When I came over to the office this morning I heard the sound of our toddlers singing Swahili songs. It was beautiful to my ears. Then we had some visitors from Australia who brought some toys and enjoyed the babies.

Our new volunteer, Clair, arrived last evening and is right in the middle of things already.

Later yesterday afternoon the awaited container arrived. It was mostly for another project, but there were all sorts of wonderful things for CoL in it as well. Thank you to the ladies in Mississippi (?) who arranged all of the gifts for us. Outdoor toys, indoor toys, brand new clothing, and many other useful items.
