Pole Sana

I am very sorry that I have not written in the past week!  It's not that I have been that busy, so no excuses.

Quick update on Georgina. She is still with us! She was admitted for 24 hours with an IV drip in her scalp to rehydrate her. Then she came back with the IV attachments still in place, so that we could give her antibiotics through it.  She still is not doing well and I fear we will lose her in the end. We have been able to get a prescription for morphine for her from Selian Hospital's Hospice Care program–Dr. Hartwig. We really appreciate that!

Today we invited Cory and Ben to have lunch with our family. They were delighted to have some different food, that they could "sink their teeth into!" (vegetarian glutan and rice)

Ned and Emily are leaving us to work with Havilah Village. It has one home with ten children ages 3-6, up and running. However they lack an administrator, so Ned and Emily will step in for a few months. They were up there for two weeks just before Christmas and loved it and did a wonderful job! We will miss them.

Hannah and Kathy only have five more days with us. They are great too.

Plans are going forward for the Maternity Waiting Home and  Birthing Center.  Emily finished the basic floor plan and now we are submitting it for approval from the Seventh-day Adventist Church, who own the land, and the District Health Officer, who will approve the licensing.

I will try to be better this coming week on the journal entries!  Blessings to you all.

That’s such exciting news! I’d love to see the floor plan for the proposed project. I’ll add it to my prayers.
