Miss Priss

Yesterday afternoon we got Prisca. She is Masaai, five months old and weighs only 7 lbs 13 oz! Her body looks very much like my Staci looked when she arrived: ribs protruding, stick thin arms and legs and no fat on her bottom. I just HAD to bring her home with me to watch her improve! She is alert mentally and gives great big smiles, in spite of her malnutrition. Here are a fews pictures of her so that you will be able to see the before and after as well.
Toby realized that this "thing" on the couch was alive, he wanted to play. But she just sat there. He couldn't understand why she wouldn't respond, so he barked and barked with his tail wagging. Finally I put up on the couch to see her.
Little Miss Priss had me up nearly every hour last night to have milk. Tonight I will try to fill her tummy with some porridge before putting her to bed. But her stomach holds so little right now.
