Celebrations

We have a new volunteer with us now-Nakia Stovell from New York. She is vivacious, great with the babies and knows the computer! She has already been so helpful by setting up the salaries and taxes on the computer. She is going to help plan an open house for CoL as well. How wonderful it is to have someone come with the talents that I don't have.
Nakia, Max (my husband) and I went to Mt. Meru Hospital yesterday. We left with two new wee ones, Bahati (which means Lucky) and Miriam. They are just a couple weeks old–maybe less. There is also a preemie that we will get when she reaches 2 kg. She is only 1.7 kg at present.
We are only 6 away from being totally FULL. The question is always–then what? How can you turn away a needy infant? We need to find our toddlers a permanent home, to make room for all the new babies. Katie left us on Sunday. She is adapting nicely to her new place, which is a boarding home for Masaai girls. She has lots of big "sisters" now who will spoil her!
Look for new photos soon. I have sent some to our webmaster and hope that she can get them posted. She is a busy lady and does this for us gratis. Thank you, Sarah!

It was also my 30th wedding anniversary on Sept. 12th. I hope that everyone will be able to experience this occasion!
